When the rich young ruler came to Jesus his price to be paid was to obey the commandments and to sell all the had, give to the poor then follow Jesus. He went away sorrowful because he had great possesions. When Jesus was asked of the two disciples to be given the place at his right, left hand He asked them two questions: Can you drink of the cup I drink of? and Can you be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with? Their answer was yes, and His reply was yes you will drink of my cup and be baptized with same baptism but to set on my left and right is only Gods to give. So what is our price? What has God asked of us? God doesn't ask of us what is impossible He asks what He knows we are able to pay but to us may seem a high price. Was it a high price for Abraham to sacrifice his own son, of course but was he willing to do it...of course. Because to our faithful father Abraham no price was too high to keep his friendship with God. God has asked of me personal things that tho at the time seemed high after accepting and paying the price seemed like mere pennies. The hardes part of paying any price to accept the price being given, and then laying down that amount. Once done we look back and think how foolish to have doubted, God is worthy of every amount. So can I drink of Christ's cup? my answer is yes but what will that "cup" entail? There's the question of the century...and only time will tell.

Love ya'll

This is from a few months ago but it still gives the full impact of my sons personality. Never a dull moment in the house. Well as always God is good. The day after Christmas I received a call that my dad had been admitted to the hospital and few a hours later they were confirming a heart attack. We gathered for church that night and what a spirit of prayer was in the place. The next day, Thursday I flew home and on the way I called my mom to see what was going on. She informed me they had released my dad and was at home now. The only explanation the hosptial had was that they must have messed up the lab work because there was no more evidence of a heart attack. WOW!!! They may try to explain it away but I know what happened, GOD intervened again!!!! It's just one more thing to remind me of the FATHER above that loves His Children and will take care of us. It was wonderful to be with friends and family through it all. Thanks everyone for your prayers.

Well boy have a I got yet another amazing act of God. So last year I took on the objective to find a way to raise money for our building payment. We all rallied together in the local church and did monthly pledges, which worked wonderfully! This year rolled around and our clerk came to me to start thinking about new fund raisers. I had been thinking, and praying and had resolved to tell her despite my praying nothing was coming to mind. This last saturday I get a call from our pastor explaining he was just given (the day before) a check for $100k to help take care of our building....WOW!!!!!! It's not the amount of the money that so surprises me (God owns the cattle on a thousand hills) but the fact that He came through right on His time which was perfect timing. The man that gave the money is a little old sweet quiet soul. He recently has started coming from our former organization and has stated that he is giving this money to a Church where he knows the truth is being preached. He has been such a blessing to us the last several months he has attended. I'm just once again amazed at God's goodness. Kinda like when Peter was freed from jail and went and Rhoda left him out in the street while the Church argued he couldn't be there. They had just been praying for him to be released and there he stood. It's soo sad that we are like that when God comes through and answers our prayers. I don't want to be surprised at His miracles but I never want to grow bored or spoiled acting either. I want to be thankful for everyone wether small or great!!!!

Well yet another week and not much has happened. We are getting ready to go caroling, and putting together our Christmas Program. I just love this time of year. Altho we celebrate the birth of Jesus all year long there's something special about the actual birthday party we get to have every year. I JUST LOVE IT!!!! God gave His only Son; Jesus gave His own life; and the Holy Ghost has given of Himself to be our personal Comforter. Even tho we certaintly can't beat that, I'm thankful for the opportunity that we have to give to those we love. I am so excited about this Holiday season more so than any other. Maybe because as we wrap up this year the question comes to mind...will this be the last? Will Jesus come back this year. I can't imagine there's too much longer to toil here, and I'm trying to whistle while I work :O), but I'm anxious to go Home. On the other hand I will wait patiently as I know there are still multitudes not ready and I don't want to see anyone lost for all eternity. So with that I will conclude. love yall-

Don't really have anything quite as exciting as last Blog but I'm still hanging on to God and ALL of HIS promises. We had a Bon-Fire this weekend for the local Church and had a blast. We enjoyed having Kasey come home for a brief visit. I'm excited about the caroling that we are going to try this year. We have a couple of dates set up with some nursing homes which sounds like fun. We also plan on hitting the streets and do some old-fashion caroling which will be really great. I can't wait to do it. We ought to praise Him, love and thank Him a little more today and a whole lot more tomorrow!" Just when I don't think God can't get any better He shows up doing something else to prove me wrong. He just keeps gettin' gooder, and gooder! I thank God that He is in charge. I was blessed so much this last weekend I can't even begin to explain. I know my God is real, He's real in my soul for He has washed and He's made me whole. His love for me is like pure gold, OOOOO My God is real!!! We had a wonderful time of fellowship at Church last night. We ate and were merry. Sunday Night Service was so wonderful, I feel like we are entering a time of unity and love in our local Church that I've never felt before. It is wonderful what God is doing, and even more exciting about what God is getting ready to do. I feel like we are truly on the brink of something big for God's people and I'm ready to dive in and get all I can of Him.

Mandys Spot

Having the “mind of Christ” does that not mean one thinks as Christ does? Would it not mean that we would be of the same opinion as Christ? So here’s my thought for the day, it hit me really hard last night when I lay down to sleep. Why at this time, only God knows. So…The Church of God belongs to God, Jesus is the Head of her therefore they ultimately decide who the General Overseer will be by placing a special anointing on such a one. We know He chose AJ Tomlinson, MA Tomlins, Rober Pruitt. We know that since God chooses God replaces, right? Since 1993 there were multiple Holy Ghost messages stating “He’s the man”, “He’s my man”, etc, etc therefore God let us know multiple times His opinion on the matter. Why then would men state “their opinion” that an Overseer should resign/step down? How would a man of God have a different opinion than that of God’s? How is ones relationship to God when one has a different opinion than that of God’s? This brings me to question my own “opinions”. I am a very opinionated person but now I am praying God check my opinions, are they inline with Yours? My prayer is to have the mind of Christ which means His opinion at all times. Yes this is my newest concern that I am desperately seeking God for.

HELLLOOOOOO!!!! I'm not sure I did it so easily but I got one picture added of my boy. He is a super little man. I can't believe it has already been a year, my how it has flown by. God has kept him through this year. I have had my first two major scares with him just this week. The other day while my parents were visiting we were getting ready to leave when I realized he wasn't in sight. My mom and I began searching throughout the house. I finally caught a glimpse of him in Coby's bathroom leaning over the kamode. By the time I reached him his feet were off the ground and he was plunging head first into the water. On Sunday afternoon we started a fire in the fireplace, Kaden had reached out to touch the door and I let him know it was "HOT". He doesn't realize what that meant so when we all were least expecting it we hear this cry and look over to see him standing just a few feet away. He didn't cry at first but within 5 mins he was balling. His left hand was blistered badly. I was able to get him to sleep and left for Church. We had special prayer and that night when I got home (I had left him asleep with my mom)he was up playing using that hand as if nothing had happened. The blisters have popped but he doesn't seem to be bothered, THANKS to GOD. This taught me an important lesson. God so often tries to tell us "NO, HOT" but not understanding the consequences are beyond our human minds and of course rather than just listen and obey we have to try it for ourselves. We to do, we get burned and find ourselves in the loving arms of God. I wonder how many times He wants to tell us "I told you so" but instead sheds a tear at our unnecessary pain and suffering we brought on ourselves. So my prayer is God help me to just walk by faith trusting You. Not questioning "why?" Just having faith in my Heavenly Father that He indeed does know best for me!!!! Blind Love, Loving Him enough to walk blindly by faith and trusting His hand all the way for direction, guidance.

I think I have finally figured it out, thanks to Marsha!!!
